Cat Characters Instead of Numbers

MiawDoku takes the familiar Sudoku grid and replaces digits with a set of cat characters, each drawn with a distinct look. The rule stays the same: every row, column, and 3x3 box must contain exactly one of each cat type. This visual swap makes the logic puzzle easier to scan for some players, because mismatched cats stand out more quickly than repeated numbers. The core challenge is still deduction, but the cat theme gives the grid a lighter, more approachable feel.

How a Puzzle Plays Out

Players pick a cat from a side panel and place it into an empty cell. The game provides hints when a placement is unclear, and completed puzzles give a clear sense of resolution. Controls work with both touch and mouse, so the same puzzle can be solved on a phone, tablet, or desktop without changing how you interact with the grid. There is no timer running in the background, which means you can pause, reconsider, and place cats at your own pace.

Difficulty Range and Progress

Puzzles start simple and gradually increase in complexity, with multiple difficulty levels available from easy to expert. That range lets beginners learn the rule set on smaller logical steps while experienced Sudoku players can jump to harder grids. The game may include a progress tracking system, which would let players see how many puzzles they have finished over time. Because the game can be played offline, sessions do not depend on a stable internet connection.

Who It Suits

MiawDoku is designed as a non-violent, family-friendly logic game. The absence of time pressure makes it suitable for short breaks or longer, unhurried sessions. Children and adults can both use it to practice focus and patience, though younger players may need help reading the grid at first. The cat theme adds visual charm without changing the underlying puzzle rules.
